There are a lot of great ways that a new Die Hard movie could be approached, and if di Bonaventura and Wiseman find the right screenwriter, something good could come of it. 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard grossed $383 million worldwide, while John Moore’s A Good Day To Die Hard garnered just a bit more than $300 million (despite being panned). Fox is hoping di Bonaventura can raise another tent pole for them with the project, but regardless, another Die Hard film is pretty likely to make a lot of money. This was from the days when John McClain ran around barefoot with a machine gun (Ho-Ho-Ho), not surfing on the back of jets or taking down the entire Russian army. Willis has reportedly been kept in the loop throughout this process, since he and di Bonaventura have a close relationship. Real people fighting plausible (however improbable) bad guys and situations. If you think this sounds like a terrible idea, you are not alone (and it sounds more like a reboot than a sequel, for what it's worth).
